Weekend with the Kids

Thought I would share the fun that we had this weekend taking the pontoon boat out. Beth came up with 'Sara' dog and we hit the water. It's Saturday night, and we're pretty tired. We might be all 'boated out' and give the lake a break tomorrow. Kids had a blast and I had a hard time keeping them dry. They're loving the lake. There's also an island in the middle where a lot of people anchor and swim. You can see it in the background of one of the pictures where I'm towing the kids. It has like 5 trees on it, and pretty decent grass. Great place for a barbecue. Hmmmm.

Why are there so many Law Breakers

...because the ladies like the bad boys, that's why! So you're a guy, good grades in college, good job, white picket fence, average car, and a dog that knows how to sit, shake and speak. What does that give you? Maybe a promotion at work, but it won't get you the ladies. Maybe you should try cutting class, getting a tattoo, punching your boss and teach your dog to crap on peoples shoes. ...and don't think you're not gonna have to have a record. You better hang a big picture over the fireplace of your latest mugshot. Break the Law!!! Get your picture made for free!

Breaking the law, biyatch!
Me breaking the law in Corpus Christi.

Ok, maybe start slow by verbally assaulting a police officer, or littering on Texas Highways (Don't Mess with Texas is a stupid anti-littering campaign by the way. It makes us look stupid to everyone. Another subject for another day). ...or maybe just go find some Personal Injury Lawyer and kick the crap out of them. Matter of fact, yeah... Go find a Personal Injury Lawyer and turn them into hamburger. You might even get a parade. Don't try trespassing. That will get you shot, and sitting in a wheelchair eating thru a tube doesn't get the ladies. That's out. You can always knock down mailboxes. It doesn't really hurt anyone and it's a federal offense. Not a bad record...

..what else.

Or maybe you can tie your child to the bumper of your truck (....DAD!)

Tied to a truck!

Yeah, that's me tied to the bumper of a truck when I was a kid, but it's ok I guess. It was done out of love and to prevent my little daredevil arse from jumping in that running water. (I would have done it).

So anyways, now you guys know why I don't write articles for relationship advice. Basically, I'll put you in jail.

Ready for My Spidey Powers

Ok, I posted awhile back about our new office furniture and not being very pleased with how it was all being handled. Since then, I've been waiting for the crew from the joint we bought this stuff from to come back and fix a problem with my desk. The desk is in an "L" shape and the left side bottom file drawer will open on its own. The first day, I hit my shin on it twice, so I just locked it and sent an email to get the blasted thing fixed. So I get an email last night that says they will be here today. I'm not in the office, so I get our 'designated furniture guy' to make sure they unlock my office for the 'crew'. This morning, I get this email that says-

"We got in, they fixed your problem. Turns out your office slopes quite a bit toward the wall behind your chair. They adjusted your desk for that and all is well now."

So now I'm thinking, that I've always been a pretty coordinated guy. Always had good balance in the Coast Guard climbing around on boats. How could I not notice that? Wierd.

It's been a lucky day for me, I was also in the car earlier and when I pulled up to the second window to get my food I saw a nice big spider on the windshield right above me. The guy handed me my reciept and I tried to kill this huge thing with it. In hindsight, I probably should have thought about this thing trying to jump upside down. So I'm at the window with the minimum wage teenager looking at me, and I'm doing the happy spider dance because this thing fell in my lap and I couldn't find it. I've got a drink in one hand, and it looks like I'm trying to put out a fire in my pants, but there's no fire.

Ahhhhh, good times!

...and I'm sure all Vanessa heard of this story was blah blah blah FAST FOOD blah blah blah.

You're right, I've got to give that crap up. ...and yes the drink was a Dr. Pepper. I'm calling Jenny Craig right now.
