Ok, I posted awhile back about our new office furniture and not being very pleased with how it was all being handled. Since then, I've been waiting for the crew from the joint we bought this stuff from to come back and fix a problem with my desk. The desk is in an "L" shape and the left side bottom file drawer will open on its own. The first day, I hit my shin on it twice, so I just locked it and sent an email to get the blasted thing fixed. So I get an email last night that says they will be here today. I'm not in the office, so I get our 'designated furniture guy' to make sure they unlock my office for the 'crew'. This morning, I get this email that says-
"We got in, they fixed your problem. Turns out your office slopes quite a bit toward the wall behind your chair. They adjusted your desk for that and all is well now."
So now I'm thinking, that I've always been a pretty coordinated guy. Always had good balance in the Coast Guard climbing around on boats. How could I not notice that? Wierd.
It's been a lucky day for me, I was also in the car earlier and when I pulled up to the second window to get my food I saw a nice big spider on the windshield right above me. The guy handed me my reciept and I tried to kill this huge thing with it. In hindsight, I probably should have thought about this thing trying to jump upside down. So I'm at the window with the minimum wage teenager looking at me, and I'm doing the happy spider dance because this thing fell in my lap and I couldn't find it. I've got a drink in one hand, and it looks like I'm trying to put out a fire in my pants, but there's no fire.
Ahhhhh, good times!
...and I'm sure all Vanessa heard of this story was blah blah blah FAST FOOD blah blah blah.
You're right, I've got to give that crap up. ...and yes the drink was a Dr. Pepper. I'm calling Jenny Craig right now.

Dr. Pepper... Remember when you and I use to down a 12pack a day at the office... I had the shakes when I stopped working with you...
The first step is admitting that you have a problem...
